What is the Kern 572 Precision Balance?

The 572 is a rugged, professional lab balance from Kern. This precision balance provides highly precise weight readings – yet it’s extremely easy to use, with step by step user guidance on the clear, backlit LCD display.

A ring-shaped draft shield helps protect the weighing area from air currents, which means greater reliability in high accuracy readings. The 572 is also provided with a protective working cover for the keypad.

There is also an optional printer available (see Accessories, below) which, when connected via the RS-232 output on the balance, provides GLP-compliant print-outs.


What are the key weighing functions of the Kern 572 Precision Balance?

These balances are particularly useful for checking product weight and counting applications, and include features such as:

Numerical tare deduction - for container weighing

Automatic update of piece weight - to gradually improve average value of piece weighing

Suspended weighing – using a hook on the underside of the balance, weigh by suspending the item under the balance

Parts counting – for fast counting of multiple very small items of identical weight
Percentage deviation – check if weight readings deviate from a pre-set value.
